Well, we went to see the apartment... OMG'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok... Kitchen is definately smaller.... BUT... I have a LAUNDRY ROOM!!!! It's right off the kitchen, complete with linen closets, 3 pantries, back door into big backyard... yeah... needs a lil TLC but its sound. OH...AND...It has a GAS STOVE!!!!!!!!!! Bedrooms are decent sized... The room that we would give Emania is long... but its bright, has stained glass in the HUGE window, AND...has TWO closets!!! One is like a cubby space...( Perfect for toys ), and the other is a decent sized clothing closet. Did I mention there are closets EVERYWHERE??? Buawahahahahahahahaha!!!! The bedroom that would be mine and Nate's is decent sized, and has a bay window shaped wall in the back. It too has a closet with two racks. Bathroom is smaller, but its a pretty blue, and would allow me to have fishies everywhere!!! Hehehehehe
But the dining room and living room are BIG!!! And oh so bright with their bay windows!!! The dining room has stained glass in it too. The Fire place looks awesome, but is currently out of service due to bad tenants, but landlord is willing to fix it up if we take the apartment. I had so many ideas running through my head as we looked at it... Its like a blank page... So...we shall see... Keep your fingers crossed!!!
Good morning everyone! Its a blissfully quiet morning here, as per Emania stayed at my parents house last night, and Nate is at work. I'm supposed to be doing laundry and cleaning, but as you can see, I'm stalling LOL
Nate and I have been discussing something on and off for the last month or so. Nate wants to move. Originally, we planned to not move again, until it was onto the land, while we build our home. However, Nathan has been... well... fed up with the amount of money we are paying for our current apartment, and feels we could save more money buy finding another place. At first, I was like a brick wall, and wouldn't budge. I detest moving, because quite frankly, I HATE packing by myself. And now with working, it would mean all of my free time would be spent packing, cleaning, and then moving. Yay.... insert eye rolling.
That being said, Friday afternoon, Nathan picked me up from work and showed me a house he is very interested in. I allowed him to state his case and explain. The house is owned by a man, who's daughter is one of Nate's loyal customers. When Nate called about the ad, she immeadiately recognized his voice and became excited. Needless to say, she pulled the ad, and I get the feeling she WANTS Nate and I to take this place. The apartment has been in the paper since July, but no one has taken it, because they wanted to move in right away. However, they were completely redoing the plumbing, as well as other minor updates.
So, I looked at the house and in the windows. Before I tell you about it, I will give you the basics. It's $575 a month ( $150 cheaper than what we pay now ). It dosen't include anything, but considering the bills involved, it would still be cheaper than what we pay now. It is a lower apartment complete with washer / dryer hookups. It has a 2 car garage. It is a two bedroom. And we may be able to have a dog. Oh, and it has a completely fenced in backyard, that is 3 times the size of what we have now. The woman upstairs is a single mom with an 8 year old daughter, who works at the hospital right up the street. So, what did I see? Well, it took my breath away. I was able to see the living room and dining room. The living room is about the size of what we have now, but technically bigger as per there are no benches. Huge bay window on the large front porch, HUGE bay window is the dining room, and lets not forget the WORKING gas fireplace in the dining room. Did I mention the hardwood floors throughout the entire apartment? Oh yes, I fell in love.
SO, needless to say, tonight at 5:30, we are being shown the apartment. I can't wait, I'm actually getting a very good feeling about this. Plenty of storage, closets in BOTH bedrooms ( Thank the Gods ), forced air heating ( No radiators getting in the way ), quiet street, and its only 2 blocks away. Linda, the property manager who knows Nate, is willing to work with us, and has offered to hire Nate on for slave labor if we come up short on rent at any time. The front yard is torn up due to the plumbing work, but Linda was excited when Nate asked if we could landscape it as our baby... hehehe Oh, and this time I have willing help to move...lol I told Denise, Steven, Carlo, and Juliana about the place, and they all want to help us move!!! HOORAY!!! Steven offered to let Nate use his BIG truck to move stuff... especially now that the cap is off of it.
I'll keep everyone posted, and will probably blog about it tommarro afternoon as per we have Carlo and Juliana as dinner guests tonight ( Its become a tradition ).
So keep your fingers crossed for us... hopfully I will like the rest of it as well...
* Looks at my beautiful, but messy kitchen... Le Sigh... I will miss her if we move...
Ok... so seeing as how I haven't blogged in a LONG ass time...I should probably update everyone on whats been going on...
Work is work... seems to be drama everywhere...lol But I'm getting more hours, even at part time...
Emania started 2nd grade a couple of weeks ago. She likes her teacher, and seems to be having fun. Of course, there was that little panic attack she had 2 weeks ago.... The amount of work that these kids are having to do is fucking ridiculous. My almost 8 year old is doing work that I didn't do until 4th and 5th grade. And they think this is going to solve educational problems??? I'd like to kick the shit outta every single congressmen that supported Bush's " No child left behind act ". The sheer amount of homework she brings home is completely assinign! It takes her almost an hour every night!!! I can't even imagine what her homework will look like tommarro, if she goes back to school... ( She's home sick today ) The only thing that she has goin for her is that her teacher will not give them homework on the weekends. She is a firm believer in giving these kids a break, and feels the same way I do about the new cirriculum.
Fall has finally arrived. The weather is much cooler, the leaves are falling, the furnace is on, and everyone is sick...lol I've been baking more and more, with the weather being cooler. I'm no longer sweating my ass off in a fiery inferno everytime I turn the oven or stove on.
Nate's doing pretty good. He's rebuilding a new gun he aquired from a friend. Other than that, not much to report, other than I need to buy him new socks because all of his socks have giant holes in them.
Me? I'm ok. I pulled a muscle in my neck and I'm in agony, but other than that, I'm peachy keen.
So...I guess there's not really much to report... LOL...Sorry
I have some sad news. Emania and I were packed and ready to go on a mini vacation trip with Chris and Tony last night, when we got the text from Christine... Cowboy passed away last night while we were at Ben's parents house for dinner. Please keep Ben, Chris, and Tony in your prayers. I haven't been able to stop crying myself. He was my buddy, and the first dog I ever fell in love with. I can't even begin to imagine what Chris and Tony are going through. So due to the heart breaking news, I chose to keep Emania home due to her empathy. She's currently off her meds and wide open. Nate and I broke the news to her this morning... and she has taken it better than I expected... anger first, then sadness, mixed with alot of questions.
Although it caused me to cry even harder....I had a vision last night of Cowboy running into Preston's arms. It makes me feel a little better knowing that Cowboy saw Preston waiting for him...
May Anu and Flidhais bless them all...
Just wanted to let everyone know I'm alive and feeling better. Rose took me to the ER yesterday and after bloodwork and a chest x-ray, I was diagnosed with Pnemonia...HOORAY!!! Its the bacterial form, not the viral... and although I was concerned I had the startings of an ear infection, my ears are clear and healthy... the plugged up hearing is from fluid buildup, but is slowly getting better with time. So the docs prescribed me Emythromycin and an inhaler. I'll take the next dose of antibiotics this afternoon, and with the help of the inhaler I am now able to breathe.
A huge thank you to everyone who lit candles and prayed for me... I did notice a huge difference and appreciate the loving thoughts!!!
