Day One...
So...today is the day. Nate and I are going to quit smoking. Yeah...it'll be tough...But we need to do this. I want to be able to breathe again, to be healthy, energetic, ect... I no longer want a crutch within my life. So, if I seem a little...ahem...cranky over the next week, and should I snap at you...I apologize ahead of time.
Toby... your testicles are goin DOWN. Nuff said.
Ya know, I have to ask a question...what is it with the " I am a vampire " people? I mean, I LOVE vampires...as in the fictional Count Dracula vampires. Vampires have always facinated me, but I enjoy my reality... I am a human being, and its ok. What physcological abnormality causes one to believe they are a creature of the night? Do they feel their life is not exciting enough without the " horror " of being a leech on society? When I say leech, I mean it in the most...natural...way. A leech is a blood sucking worm within nature. Its sole purpose is to survive on the blood of other creatures. Now, a natural leech has a great quality...the ability to restore damages tissue. For example, there was a 10 year old boy in Oregon who chopped off the tip of his finger with his fathers axe. The father, being a smart man, took his son, and the finger, to a doctor. The doctor, being a bit of a curious scientist, re-attached the tip by using a leech. The leech, being a divine creature, re-attached the tip of the boys finger, painlessly, and without risk of infection. The leech became fat and happy...the boy... whole once again with minimal scarring. However, when we look upon the stories of immortal vampires, we see a story not cloaked in fear and darkness, but pity. I mean, think about it... a life lived without the beauty of the light... living as a leech... needing the blood of innocents to live a life that will not end... unless otherwise destroyed... walking through a boring existence with no real productivity. Sure, there is a romantic side to it... dark love... seduction...eroticism... mystery... but honestly...if thats what you need... join a fetish club. Ya know... the whole history of vampires comes from the folk tales in Eastern Europe...based upon a real man... a Prince. Prince Vlad Dracul. The history of our Prince is one of tragedy, deceit, religion, and madness. Pince Vlad was a good man, I knew him a in past life, believe it or not. But the Orthodox Priests drove him to madness with their lies and deceit. Vlad was not a vampire... he was a blood thirty killer, going as far as he could... to protect his people. But is that how he was remembered? No. He is remembered based upon fold tales, borrowed by young Bram Stoker... who took those tales and created one of the most frightening tales of the 20th century. How sad is our rememberance at history... how sad are the people who believe they are 200 year old vampires. Your blood is the same as mine, and I assure you, if you are in a car accident, you too, will bleed.
