Like the Graceful Dolphin, I shall Dive into the Chaotic Oceans!

Pickle Part II
Ok... so I went to bed last night... nervous... worried... filled with anxiety... but I kept my sisters words in my heart and in my head as I drifted slowly into the otherworld. I won't go into detail about everything that happened...but everything worked out great. Manannan stood beside me as the Daghdha laughed and told me that it was He who had given me the dreams of the ocean...adding that my soul needed the journey through the depths of the sea. Then there was the shoving match between Aengus Mac Og and Manannan...which was ended when Lugh punched Aengus... That was a little amusing... though I do feel bad for Aengus...I think Lugh hit Him a bit too hard... then again...Lugh does see Manannan as a Father figure... so loyalty lies with Him.

So after the meeting...I joined Mannanan for a swim in the sea... I wish everyone could see the ocean from the Otherworld... words cannot express the beauty I saw and felt before me... After swimming and splashing happily with my beloved Lord... we sat on the beach to rest...and talked for awhile. The conversation varied from different subjects, friendly chatting... and then an explanation of the lesson of the ocean. The sea is very powerful... not only does it engulf 3/4 of the earth.... it is also a direct visualization of balance and creation. While the seas storm and waves crash...destructing everything in its path.... deep below... the water is calm and peaceful. Whales swim peacefully, not paying mind to the storm above. Other parts of the world have peaceful beaches, filled with sunshine calm waters. New life springs forth, as other life is taken. A good example of the power and beaty of the sea is the recent tital waves in Indonesia. A giant earthquake beneath the ocean... deeply inbedded in the earths core, racked a cataclysmic wave that hit several countries and areas. People were killed, either by drowning, or by the destruction caused. Children lost their familes... husbands lost their lives... chaos errupted. But as we look on the other side of the scale... hero's were created, families became closer, life fought hard and triumphed when it could have lost hope. The after math created something very unique. Indonesia's waters are cleaner now than they have been for over 200 years. The soil is richer, and crops are plentiful. New homes were built with aid from around the world...bringing people closer together. Choas and destruction brought forth Peace and new life. That is the beauty of the sea. The sea takes care of its own.

Look at the differences between sharks and dolphins. Sharks, mother natures most sublime killing machine. Powerful, sleek, fast, and dangerous. Sharks are one of the most feared creatures upon this planet, and rightly so. But that fear should not become ignorance... instead...let it become respect. Mother nature has created a killing machine in perfect harmony. Then we look at the dolphin. Gentle, intelligent, taking care of its own in a unique family / clan structure very much like our own. Able to communicate with a language we have yet to understand. Compassionate hero's, willing to save human beings from mortal danger. Playful, kind, beautiful creatures of our ocean. Dolphins are sharks are mortal enemies. When I say that, its not with an opinion, or my own outlook, but with truth. When studying dolphins, you will learn that dolphins will attack sharks without provoke. A shark can be swimming along... minding its own business...when BAM...its suddenly attacked by a family of dolphins. Dolphins literally beat the shark to death. They use their noses, hard, muscular snouts, to beat the shark. They aim to do two things... they aim for the sharks nose ( The most sensitive part of the sharks body ) which can cause blindness... and they aim to make the shark go backwards. For those who don't know, if a shark was to swim backwards, they would die. Sharks must remain swimming at all times, in a forward direction based upon the design of their gills. If not, they drown. This is another example of a dolphins intelligence. Divers have been rescued by dolphins after being in a sticky situation involving sharks. Sailors tell stories of dolphins keeping a close eye on them as they brave the stormy seas... always watching...always protecting. My own husband tells stories of watching the dolphins swimming along with US carriers. They are natures guardians... so perfect like their advesary's. Like humans, dolphins protect their young by keeping them inside the family... always guarded by their family members...male and female alike. Dolphins will also slow their pace for an older, slower, or injured family member. They do not leave them behind, or cannibalize them. They help them along until death...when the family mourns their loss. To the dolphin, like the Celt, family is everything.

Manannan and I talked for long hours as my body lay sleeping... I cherish our talks. So full of knowledge... full of stories. He tells me stories of His father, Lir...another God of the sea. Stories of Bran the Blessed, walking across the sea to save his sister Branwen... so many stories... He's like a wise sailor telling of great adventures over time... I look forward to many more...
