This is for my Tuatha, not just Colleen
I am not posting the entire Brehon Law on my Mindsay as per it is 32 pages long. Many thanks to the Ollamh for leaving this file on my comp. So, I went through the laws and found that which pertains to Colleen. The following is what the laws say about someone causing an offense:

Administration of Justice

The Law of Compensation

Brehon Law was basically a law of compensation, which applied to every form of injury. The compensation was based on the Honour Price of the victim or the victim's kin and the nature of the injury. If one was unable to pay the due compensation, then the debt could be levied against one's kin, (with the resulting obligations to the kin). If the due compensation was not paid in respect of a serious wrong, the culprit could be killed or taken into bondage. Culprits evading payments could become outlaws and thus lose their human rights. (However, an outlaw could regain his rights by paying the due compensation). Evasions of obligations by Kings could give rise to other Kings making alliances to wage war on and punish the culprit. To avoid the loss of face associated with being involved in proceedings, a commoner was often appointed as a King's representative and would be sued in place of the King.

There were apparently no prisons in ancient Ireland, although there are references to people being held in chains and (as stated previously) hostage taking was a common practice to enforce political loyalty.

The basic procedure was that an injured party sued the offender, and, if the latter responded, the case was referred to the local Brehon, who decided the case according to the law. The penalty always took the form of a fine to be paid by the offender to the respondent, the Brehon's fee usually being met as part of the fine.

The last paragraph as seen just above, directly states what should be done. When someone has offended you, be it feelings, honor, ect... you would then bring it forward to the local Brehon, and the Brehon would decide the proper payment. The Celts did not deal with tribal problems by antoganization, attack, or lack of responsibility. They worked with fines. SO, if someone has done you an injustice, you don't get to stop acting as a member of the tribe as whole to that person, nor do you have the right to do any form of damage. The Celts were the first to live by, " Two wrongs do NOT make a right ".

So there it is. However, there a few problems. First, you did not contact any of the tribal leaders to tell them WHO and what it was they actually did. Therefore, the law could not be upheld. Secondly, the " offender " remains unknown, and therefore cannot defend themselves to said Tribe. This is what we call justice. Thirdly, the offended didn't go through the proper procedure of the law, and thus took her own laws into her own hands. That is not how this Tuatha, or any true Celtic Tuatha works.

Let me ask a few questions.

                       1. Would you like it if another member of your Tribe was angry with you, but told no one, and instead threatened the entire Tribe ( By not naming a specific person ), causing undo stress and complete melodramatic bullshit, and took their own law into their own hands, caused you pain and suffering, and there was not a damn thing the rest of the Tuatha could do due to lack of information and justice. In other words, put yourself in the accused's shoes.

                       2. Do you honestly understand the concept of Celtic Responsibility? There are always two sides of every story. Have you thought about what you may have done to cause all this? The Tuatha has only heard one side, and that side claims that they have been deeply hurt and offended. Did it occur to you that you are hurting the entire Tuatha, as well as the one that offended you?

                       3. If I had a problem with you, would you prefer me to come to you, and talk about it, rather than blow up and threaten the nameless offender, causing the entire Tribe to wonder what it was they may have done? I know that I personally would prefer that.

Eleasaid should have been the one to be contacted. She is the Ollamh, the Intelligencia. She knows the Brehon law like the back of her hand, and thus, in my opinion, is the acting Brehon. Instead, I have to contact her and lay it all out on the table, something I'm sure she won't appreciate too much. This could have been handled a week ago, without the un-nessasary bullshit.

So you know, Anu is not too happy right now. While on the phone last night, you made a comment Colleen... " I have forgiven, but I have not forgotten, and eventually, I will have my retribution. " That is when I handed Nathan the phone. I had my Goddess screaming in my fucking ear about " That is NOT the deal she made ". However, you'll have nothing to worry about. I took the heat for you. I told my Goddess that it was my fault. That perhaps I did not do a good enough job in teaching you about laws of our people, and that the Gods must be understanding of your stress and anger. I told them that I had failed you by not making it clear enough that I have always been here for you, even when I am under great stress.

I did not do what I did because I want you to feel guilty, or because " You owe me one ". I did it because I do love you, you ARE my sister, I understand you are hurt and angry. This is MY job. To act as an ambassador to the Tuatha De so we continue to have GOOD relations with them. I'm actually suprised it worked, after the fighting I personally had with them over the holidays. I also did what I did because I am not unwilling to take responsibility for my actions. THAT is Celtic responsibility.

This entire Tuatha has failed one another. No one is walking away or giving up anything. We are NOT cowards. We WILL stick togather as a family, and work through this wether ANYONE likes it or not. Like I said before...This is NOT Avalon NOR Kate's family. When you talk to Stacy or Cai the next time...you can quote me on that. You don't want me to fix this? Too fucking bad. This is the only way it WILL be fixed. EVERYONE has a right within this Tuatha...including you Colleen. No one is allowed to pussy out when the going gets tough.

Fennid David, You are also NOT allowed to fly a kite. Though your feelings and honor have been bruised and damaged, they will heal my friend. I know you are under alot of stress and are running on a short fuse, but we need you now more than ever. Especially when we have a council meeting. You ARE to be there. OH...and a couple more things...I need to talk to you about an idea Nate had when you have some extra time... and lastly... Anu wants to talk to talk to you...along with half the Tuatha De. No, you are not in trouble either...LOL. She said tonight... midnight... Oaks Grove... be there. Damnit...Herne said " Bring the rum ". ewwwww

So there you have it. I am contacting Ele. ALL issues are about to be resolved shortly. So sit tight people. Its about to get bumpy. Am I still pissed? No, Now I'm just aggravated.
